I would’ve said love it if I didn’t hear Rowan say there are no mounted combat instances coming to LOTRO.
It’s a shame, ain’t it!?
Doc sums up my feelings well. It’s disappointing to hear Rowan say there’s no MC instances coming anytime soon.
I agree with Doc and feel somewhat misled by the fact that there won’t be any MC instances for the immediate future.
Mind you they may change there mind if they can monetise it.
I think it’s fabulous. My only complain is that I want more stuff to do with it!
Oh, and the loot on Bugud sucks. I’d be sadder about that if it were even remotely difficult to take him down, but it’s still at least 10 minutes of effort for a handful of marks and medallions and a banner you already have 30 of…
As the comments above really – I absolutely love it… I just wish they’d do more with it.
Sadly that’s all it is – a combat system and what looks to be an orphaned one at that. We have an expansion, Riders of Rohan. Yet, except for a handful of limited daily landscape battles, I cannot be a member of the Rohirim. I must still dismount and be a foot soldier 99.99999 percent of the time. A system of great promise – a combat system that, more than any other, shaped the history of humanity – is a broken promise in LOTRO. Yeah, I’m more a tad upset about it. It’s Ultima Online’s High Seas booster all over again *sigh* But I’m not angry at Turbine about this. My guess is that there is more thwarted passion at that studio than there is in here on this aptly named Web Log.
I love it, but with the rubberbanding & lag issues, Lotro has been put on the back burner. So i voted other.
The more I play it, the more I like it. I would love it if not for the rubberbanding, etc.
I expect more MC in the next expansion, in western Rohan. Also when we get to the Pelannor Fields.
